As I have stated in previous posts I don’t read a lot of Historical Romance. For some reason this story caught my eye. Which I’m glad it did. The two main characters are constantly at one another, but the way they fight makes you feel like it's only cause they can’t truly say what they want to. Camden is smart and endearing, with wit that makes you want to listen very closely to what he is saying as you will miss something otherwise. Gigi is vivacious with a stinging tong. Her wit is just as good as Camden’s. I really enjoyed this story. For all its tit for tat, these two where really made for one another. I loved reading this book.

As time goes on she begins to make friends and having a good time. She and David get closer as Laurel learns more about herself. And when she meets Tamani she finally begins to understand how different she really is. I really loved this story as I have always enjoyed reading anything on Faeries. And this is a whole new take on them. The story is filled with a lot going on that makes it a good page turner. I loved this book and I can't wait to read the next book, Spells.

Phèdre’s adventures near destroy her and Joscelin. The story takes a dark turn but then are able to turn it all around. While they try to save Hyacinthe and a small boy. They don’t know what their own future is going to hold. The way Phèdre does everything to try and help those that she loves is epic. It is a page turning story that you will be surprised at every turn. It wraps in a nice neat bow. It is an amazing writing that is a must read. I am looking forward to reading the next trilogy, Imriel's Trilogy.

Alright so this is set in current times with a few minor differences there are witches, warlord demons, warlocks and of course magic. Set in San Fran. Carson is the kind of character that has had a bunch of book learning but believes that all the stuff that she has been studying is myth. Nikodemus soon teaches her that it isn’t and that she herself has a sort of power of her own. The relationship that comes between these two is one that starts with him wanting to kill. Then him feeling sorry for her and what has happened to her. To them working together for the same cause. The story is a page turner and once I started reading it I couldn't put it down. Carson is brilliantly written. And they dynamic between her and Nikodemus is awesome. I can't wait to read the next book in this series, My Forbidden Desire.

This story is that of Nimira who is trying to make a better lot for herself. She has gone with Hollin Parry in pursuing that dream, only to find that there is far darker things a foot. So as not to be sent away she does not mention the antics that the automaton starts doing. And over time they become friends. When reading this I found myself cheering Nimira on as she was putting all the piece of the puzzle together. The relationships between the characters were great as they all got to know one another. I really liked the maid Linza, who was so scared at first but seemed to grow by the end of the story. It is definitely a good first book. I look forward to reading the next book in this series, Magic Under Stone.

I was sad to see how Pippa changed, and how she treats the others. I think that Gemma finally understood where her place was. It was hard to see her have her heart broken and at the same time I did enjoy when she realized what she wanted to do. As a trilogy it wasn’t bad but it is not something that I would read again. It is definitely something to get at the library for a quick read. But not something that I would have for my book shelf.

They are trying to figure out what they need to do. All the while Aiden just wants to make Lyrra safe. And tell her to be his wife which isn’t done in the Fae’s world. I love the way the to of them interact together. You get to see a side of the Fae that is very different. I found the whole thing very enjoyable. I can't wait to read the last book of this trilogy, The House of Gaian.

In book two we get Rhage’s story and he is one of the scarier brothers. When her first meets Mary he can’t help but want to be close to her. He even makes her friend set them up on a date so that he can be with her in a more intimate setting. While Mary isn’t sure why this gorgeous man is so interested because she doesn’t feel that she is worthy of someone like him. Due to the fact that she has been sick and can no longer have children. I love that Rhage is willing to give up everything including Mary so that she can live a full life. And even taking on his curse for all eternity. I feel that of the brothers that I have read about so far Rhage is the most noble. I really cried when Rhage made his request of the Scribe Virgin. I thought that she was not being fair to him or to Mary. But I love how this turned out. The writing is brilliant. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series, Lover Awakened.

This was a great first story, having a take on Immortals that I’ve only seen once or twice. Ever is a very dynamic character, whom has had her tragedy and is trying to deal with survivors remorse. Being one of the outsiders but having some true friends. When Damen shows up you begin to see changes in her as she comes back to life. I really enjoyed this story. There are dangers that the characters have to deal with but they also have the emotional conflict. That keeps you rooted to the page. A story that I could read over and over again. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series, Blue Moon.

But the two are not sure if either can trust the other with their secrets. The tale is well written and though I’m not big on how defenseless Lady Catherine is portrayed at times I still like her as the heroine. It is one of those books that is a nice quick read. I look forward to reading the next book in this series, Knight of Pleasure.

The two come together and have a growing friendship. This is a very sweet tale. Rose is strong even in her weakest moments as she fights sickness. Galen works to help all those around him, never looking above his station. The twelve dancing princesses is one of my favorite stories and I thought that this version is very well written and like it a lot. I look forward to reading the next book in the series, Princess of Glass.

Ok so years have gone by and now Cat has to let everyone know that Bones isn’t dead, as she needs his help. We meet a bunch of guys that work with Cat as special agents, Tate, Juan, Cooper, Dave and Dan. Great group that made me laugh a lot. The reunion between Cat and Bones was great. I never liked that she left at all. And with Cat finding out about her father’s side of the family was great. The encounter with Max and Ian was great. Beside Bones, Spade has to be one of my favorite characters, mainly for his lines. The end surprised me with what happened with Dave. But I loved every minute of it and can't wait to read the next one in the series, At the Grave's End.

The story is fast paced and keeps you guessing. I love the interaction with the dragon oracles. Rhys is a great addition to the series as well. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next one in the series, Reign Fall.

I really enjoy this book. I can’t wait to see what is going to happen to Kitty next in Kitty Goes to Washington.

This is the beginning of the Axis’s Trilogy, in which we follow a multitude of characters. Faraday the beautiful woman who is frightened but also strong. Axis who is already a legendary leader. As well as Duke Borneheld and many others. Things are changing between the three races that live here. There is complexity and diversity within the story as well. This is not a light book it will suck you in and take you on a great adventure. I loved this story as it was so rich and well written. I can’t wait to read the second book in the trilogy, Enchanter.

Grey is so interested in doing right by Rose and not having any love for himself. I don’t want to say any more as I will give away the story. I really like this book and look forward to reading the next book, When Marrying a Scoundrel.

I love this book and couldn’t put it down once I started reading it. It’s one that I think you will all enjoy.

All our favorite characters are back and we have new ones as well in Daisy, Nick and Lara. Sophie is strong in this story as well. Cal and Archer are brilliant. Archer's dialog with Sophie is great. I loved this book and can't wait to read the next book in the series, Spell Bound.

When Ben and her meet, her coven believes that she will be taken from them and sets out to keep them apart. I couldn’t wait to read this book after reading the first one. And I admit that this one did not disappoint. Ben is such a great character but more than that is Elspeth. I found myself being drawn to the character. I love this book and can’t wait to read the last book in this series, The Wolf Next Door.

This is only the beginning of the book. It is filled with twists and a great plot. I found that the characters are brilliant. I liked this book very much and can’t wait to read the next one in the series, So Still the Night.

This anthology of great writers is very well written. Each story is very nicely written. I will not go into each of the stories as they are short but very delightful. The is one of those books that you can’t help but love. Even for being short stories they are complex. All the authors shine in this and I would be interested in seeing more like this. Or even if one of these starts another series.

Cassandra was recruited to kill the Fire Lord after marrying his son. Now the two must learn about the other before they are both found out. This is a good story with a great deal of plot twists. For all of Cassandra’s knowledge she is still very naïve, which just added to the story. I liked this story quite a bit and look forward to see where the series will go from here in the Lady of the Storm.

This story starts off after Cinderella and her prince have been married for some time. The bad part is her stepsisters are still after her to ruin her happily ever after. The good part is that she has two other princesses to helper her, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. This is a beautiful mix of the classic fairy tales. It lets you see their lives after and what really happened, well as far as this story goes any way. I found that it was a very inventive take and brought about some great storytelling. I really liked this story and can’t wait to read the next one in the series, The Mermaid's Madness.

A book that you have to have.

This is one of those books that once I started it I couldn't put it down. The book is the first one in the Age of X as it takes place in the future. Things are so different you need a license to practice a religion and many other things that catch you. But at the same time you get it. You feel like you could see how this all works. The switching of characters helps you get a very well rounded view of everything. Mae is amazing and strong. Justin is a little too much into himself and his own desires. Tessa, coming from the outside brings a fresh view point of it all. I loved this book. The mix of myth, tech, science and future had me from the beginning. Then you add in these brilliantly written characters. I can't wait to see where this series will go next.
