away. Fifteen-year-old Princess Malva is about to be married off to a stranger
of her father’s choosing. But Malva wants nothing to do with an arranged
marriage. On the eve of her wedding she stows away on a cargo ship with her
maid, only to land in even more trouble when she is captured by pirates. When
news of the missing-and-presumed-kidnapped princess reaches an aspiring ship
captain named Orpheus, he is one of the first to sign up for the dangerous
search. But it’s hard to save a beautiful maiden when she doesn’t want to be
rescued…
Malva is running away from home to get away from her
father’s order to have her marry. But soon finds out that there is much more in
store for her. While Orpheus a guard learns that his father wasn’t whom he
always believed. He soon goes off to help in finding Malva to return her home.
This story changes perspective several times but it is well written so does not
feel choppy. The story is good but it seemed to have the same things happening
over and over. I did not really like the story much but it has some good parts
to it and many endearing characters. It just wasn’t for me.
