Reign Fall by Michelle Rowen

Genre: Young Adult
Sub Genre: Paranormal Romance; Urban Romance; Demons, Magic, Shadows, Demon Princess, Hunters, Dragons, Faeries
Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars

Back Cover: Prophesies, demon slayers, dragons, homework… It’s going to be a hell of a week!
It’s been a dangerous ride for Nikki Donovan since she first learned she’s a demon princess. And the ride isn’t over yet! She’s just found out that her best friend is a demon slayer in training, one who doesn’t know that Nikki is exactly the prey she’s sworn to hunt. Nikki’s demon king father has signed her up for lessons in how to master her erratic half-demon powers, and that’s on top of her regular homework! Also, she’s torn between two boys—Rhys, the faery king she’s prophesied to marry, and Michael, a Shadow whom she’s forbidden to love. To top it all off, a dark force is haunting Nikki, something mysterious and evil that wants the demon princess dead…but who—or what—is it?

This is the third book in the Demon Princess series. Nikki is dealing with her best friend being a demon slayer. Rhys still hanging about, while Michael hasn't been around in a little while. When Nikki is summoned to her father she starts to take lessons on using her powers. Nikki is still a sassy minded character. Dealing with all her friends and missing Michael. While also dealing with her understanding of Rhys. I really like this series. The plot isn't predictable, keeping you on your toes. I can't wait to read the next book in this series, Reign Storm.

Demon Princess Reign Check by Michelle Rowen

Genre: Young Adult
Sub Genre: Paranormal Romance; Urban Fantasy; Hunters, Demons, Shadows, Magic, Faeries, Dragons
Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars

Back Cover: Nikki Donovan has had a lot to deal with since learning she was half human, half demon. But things take a darker turn when Rhys, a gorgeous — but potentially dangerous — faery king enrolls at her high school to investigate Nikki’s potential for fulfilling an apocalyptic prophesy. Nikki knows she’d never turn violent, and she certainly couldn’t destroy the world…could she? Of course, all Nikki really wants is to be reunited with Michael, a Shadow creature whose status as her personal servant is further complicated by their undeniable attraction to each other. Even though the rules of the Shadowlands strictly forbid their romance, Nikki is determined not to let Michael go. But when she is summoned to the Underworld to appear before a demon council, it will take all her courage — and perhaps a bit of demon-level strength — to get herself out again.

This is the second book in the Demon Princess series. Nikki is back in the human world and doesn’t even get a chance to breath when the king of the Faeries starts going to her school. Then there is a prophesy that states that she is to destroy everything. And to make matters worse she doesn’t want those that she cares about to get hurt, which is just the beginning. The story is fast paced and keeps you guessing. I love the interaction with the dragon oracles. Rhys is a great addition to the series as well. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next one in the series, Reign Fall.

Demon Princess: Reign or Shine by Michelle Rowen

Genre: Young Adult
Sub Genre: Paranormal Romance; Urban Fantasy; Demons, Magic, Shadows, Demon Princess
Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars

Back Cover: For Nikki Donovan, being a teenager can be hell. Literally. As if trying to fit in at a new school and navigating the social scene isn’t enough stress for her, sixteen-year-old Nikki Donovan just found out that her long-lost father is, in fact, the demon king of the Shadowlands – the world that separates and protects us from the Underworld. When she is brought there by the mysterious – and surprisingly cute – messenger Michael, she learns that her father is dying, and that he wants her to assume the throne. To complicate matters, a war is brewing between Shadowlands and the Underworld, her half-demon qualities are manifesting, and her growing feelings for Michael are forbidden. Ruling a kingdom, navigating a secret crush, and still making it home by curfew – what’s a teenage demon princess to do?

This is the first book in the Demon Princess series. Nikki is just learning about her father and herself while being the new girl at school. But there is a plus side Michael. I found this book to be very entertaining. I thought that Nikki took all the information about her father and herself rather well. Michael was a great character to have he is smart and powerful, and technically a prince in his own right. I love how Nikki also throws him off with how she treats him. There are a few great plot twists in this story as well. You get to meet lots of different people. And I also like how Nikki’s mom stood up for herself. I recommend this book as something that you should read. I can't wait to read the next book in this series Demon Princess: Reign Check.
