Back Cover: The Secret. The Hunger. The Dark. It takes more
than passion to bring two strangers together. An importer of Russian artifacts,
Vivian Roussel prefers a low profile in order to keep her private life a
secret. Vivian is a werecat, a descendant of an ancient demigoddess, and highly
regarded in Manhattan’s night world. But when she’s robbed of a priceless icon,
she has only one recourse for protection. A surveillance expert and Russian
Blue werecat, Pavel Federov never looks at a client as anything other than a
contract. Until Vivian. Drawn to her in ways that have nothing to do with
business, Pavel soon discovers that whoever stole the icon has something far
more dangerous in mind. He has marked Vivian as his next target – a lovely bit
of prey that holds the key to one of Manhattan’s most explosive international
secrets.
This is the second book in the Vivian Roussel series. So in
this novel it seemed to be a little bit better in being a Paranormal Romance
from the first one. But I still did not really like this story. This story took
a little different turn than I was expecting. I just wish that had been better
story. As I felt like there was something lacking. The next book in this series
is Smolder.
