Back Cover: Sixteen-year-old Erin
Misrahe just wants to be like everyone else in her new school. But Erin has
more to worry about than passing AP Chemistry and making friends. In times of
stress, she has always been overcome by her alter ego, Shevaun, whose violent
behavior wreaks havoc on those around her. Erin can never remember anything
about these episodes, and she’s grateful to have been spared them for a while.
But when a protective old friend comes back into Erin’s life, he insists that
Shevaun is a vampire who actually exists apart from Erin. Shevaun has dangerous
allies, like the handsome witch Adjila – and they’re determined to sever
Shevaun’s connection to Erin once and for all.
This story is of a girl that things that she is crazy. And
is trying to become someone who can go to a normal school for the first time.
But as it happens there are other things going on that she has no knowledge
about. Like the things that go bump in the night are real. I don’t want to ruin
the story as there is a lot that is discovered both about Erin and her friends.
Needless to say there is magic, vampires, were-people and witches all involved.
It is a good story. I enjoyed reading it and wouldn’t mind reading more of this
world even if they don’t revisit the same characters.
