Bad Blood by Mari Mancusi

Genre: Young Adult
Sub Genre: Paranormal Romance; Vampires, Werewolves, Vampire Slayers, Sidhe, Fairy, Blood Coven Vampire
Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars

Back Cover: Sunny McDonald is in the ultimate forbidden relationship. Her boyfriend Magnus is a vampire, and the leader of the Blood Coven. Their differences have never been an issue, until now… When the Blood Coven decides that Magnus needs a mate to be his co-ruler, Sunny’s humanity puts her out of the running. The Coven’s chosen candidate is Jane Johnson, a magna cum laude graduate of Oxford University who just happens to look like a vampiric supermodel. Sunny is suspicious of a Rhodes Scholar who can’t answer the most basic poly-sci questions, but Magnus brushes it off as petty jealousy. Still, when the Blood Coven goes to Las Vegas for a vampire convention—where Magnus and Jane’s bonding ceremony will be the main event—Sunny and her sister Rayne secretly tag along. And Sunny’s not going home before she learns the truth about Jane. Because not everything stays in Vegas—especially bad blood…

This is the fourth book in Blood Coven Vampire series. Sunny feels that Magnus has betrayed her. But she still goes to help him because her gut tells her that something is wrong. I truly don’t want to say too much about as this series as I love this series. This is a great story that adds more to the series. I can’t get enough of these books and can’t wait to see where the series is going to go from here.

Girls That Growl by Mari Mancusi

Genre: Young Adult
Sub Genre: Paranormal Romance; Vampires, Werewolves, Vampire Slayers
Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars

Back Cover: I’m a vampire.  I’m also a vampire slayer. (It’s a long story – don’t ask.)  And now I, Rayne McDonald, Goth girl, have to try out for the cheerleading squad? You’d think that after I saved my coven last semester, I’d get a break or something.  I’ve got enough on my plate:  My twin keeps whining about whether or not to go all the way; Mom’s boyfriend is moving in; and my man, Jareth, who’s now allowed out in the sun, has turned from a dark, brooding hottie vamp into a surfer dude. But I’m still on the clock and have a new assignment.  A member of the football team has disappeared – and my bosses at Slayer Inc. think the cheerleaders had something to do with it, because they’re actually werewolves!  I always knew they were a pack of bitc… Now they want me to infiltrate the squad and get the dirt.  But first, I’ll need an extreme prep makeover.  If only they’d let me wear fishnets under this revolting uniform…

This is the third book Mari’s Vampire series. Rayne who is now a vampire who is also a vampire slayer must go and now she has to join the cheerleading squad. Rayne isn’t quite sure how things could get worse. But there are a few more encounters that Rayne has to go through. I love how Rayne finally starts to look outside of herself and actually works to helping others. I found the whole story to be entertaining. I love that we got to deal with some real life issues as well. If you hadn’t guessed I really liked this book and can’t wait to read the next one in the series, Bad Blood.
