This time Anya Bast takes us into a new world of her Fae. In this book the fae are on a reservation that the Phaendir and the humans created hundreds of years ago. They live as best they can but still wish to have their freedoms back. There are two courts that of the Rose and that of the Black. The Rose court is very big on status and bloodlines. Gabriel is much more than he seems and keeps Aislinn on her toes. Aislinn is just beginning to discover herself and what she is capable of. The two are great together are great. I love how there are so many layers to this story. Anya can create these worlds that pull you in and make them truly believable. I love this story and can’t wait to read the next one in this series, Cruel Enchantment

This book is a standalone novel. Daria who has been hurt and has lost a very dear friend because of a former lover is out to get her man. But to do so she has to become a vampire. And to do that she must team up with a man that makes her very hot and bothered, Alejandro. He also has his own mission hoping to prove to Daria that he is the only one for her. The story is a great page turner.  The main character was well written with all of her flaws. But her growth along the way is what takes you on a great ride. I really enjoyed reading this book and liked to see a futuristic world that was created which is much different than her other works that I have read.

So this is the ending to the Elemental witches. Ok so its not totally you need to go to Anya Bast’s page as there is a short story that takes place after this. But as far as the printed books it seems that this is the end. While I am sad to see the end I did love how Anya finished off the series. Sarafina is another kick but character who burns hot all around. And you get to see more of Theo. Theo was the most tortured character in this series, or at least that is my opinion. But what a great character. And the dialog between these two is almost spit fire. I thought that this ending didn’t disappoint at all. I think anyone who is interested in a great paranormal romance about witches needs to add this to their shelves. Now even though there isn’t any more elemental witches she is working on Wicked Enchantment dealing with Fairies. I am looking forward to that as I love Anya’s writing and the Fay.

Anya makes some of the best butt-kicking female characters. Yeah they men want to save them but they don’t have to. And Claire is the perfect example of one of these characters. She is strong on her own and as we son in Witch Blood she is an amazing teacher to Thomas. When she is taken from all that she knows and put back into her own world she’s excited and scared all at the same time. And the way she shows both Adam and Theo that she is stronger than both of them is great. You begin to understand the playboy Adam and why he is the way he is. But I truly enjoyed Clair, by far one of my favorite characters ever. I look forward to reading the next book in this series, Witch Fury.

Isabelle is your strong female character that you want to fight for. She is the one that seems to be fighting her inner demons almost as much as the ones that Stephen keeps bring in. Very dynamic character and Thomas is a good balance for her. I liked the introduction of the other demons. And their diverse culture as well. You got to see a different side of Thomas that just made you get all warm and fuzzy inside. I really loved this story and am looking forward to reading the next one in the series, Witch Heart.

A friend had recommended that I read this series a while back but I could never find book 1 Witch Fire. So I just read other things until it showed up for me to read. I thought that it was great. The elemental magick was a slightly different take on it. I love that fire witches are healers. Mira not knowing anything about the magick world that she was born into made it perfect for you to learn right along. Making it feel like the world building of the story foundation flowed. Instead of being forced and having a hard time to understand where the story was going. Jack as a teacher was a great character who was so scared to hurt Mira. And yet in the next breath can’t stay away from her. I loved this first in the 4 book series. I went and bought the rest of the series to find out what happens. I can't wait to read the next book in the series, Witch Blood.
