No Humans Involved by Kelley Armsrtong

Genre: Urban Fantasy; Ghosts, Witches, Demons, Angels, Magic, Werewolves, Necromancers, Vampires, Women of the Otherworld
Sub Genre: Paranormal Romance
Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars

Back Cover: A beautiful necromancer must come to terms with her power – and an evil she never thought possible. It’s the most anticipated reality television event of the season: three spiritualists gathered together in one house to raise the ghost of Marilyn Monroe. For celebrity medium Jaime Vegas, it’s her best shot at the celebrity holy grail: a TV show of her own. Because, unlike her colleagues, who are more style than substance, Jaime is the real thing. Yet reluctant to upstage her fellow spiritualists, Jaime suppresses her talents, as she has always done. But something is lurking in the gardens behind the house: trapped spirits without a voice. And for the first time, Jaime understands what it means to be haunted. When events culminate in a psychic showdown, she must use her darkest power to defeat a shocking enemy – one whose force comes from the last realm she expected…

This is the seventh book in the Women of the Otherworld series, it is yet another great Kelley Armstong book. This time we are following Jaime as she tries to make a name for herself as a TV star. There is a lot more going on in this story than just the show. And we get to see some of our favorite characters in this book. I don’t want to say too much as I feel it will give away some of the plot. But I really loved this book. You finally really get to see Jaime Vegas come into her own and see a whole new side to her. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series, Personal Demon.

Broken by Kelley Armstrong

Genre: Urban Fantasy; Ghosts, Witches, Demons, Angels, Magic, Werewolves, Vampires, Women of the Otherworld
Sub Genre: Paranormal Romance
Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars

Back Cover: Ever since she discovered she’s pregnant, Elena Michaels has been on edge. After all, she’s never heard of another living female werewolf, let alone one who’s given birth. But, thankfully, her expertise is needed to retrieve a stolen letter allegedly written by Jack the Ripper. As a distraction, the job seems simple enough – only the letter contains a portal to Victorian London’s underworld, which Elena inadvertently triggers –– unleashing a vicious killer and a pair of zombie thugs. Now Elena must find a way to seal the portal before the unwelcome visitors get what they’re looking for – which, for some unknown reason, is Elena……

This is the sixth book in the Women of the Otherworld. In this story we are back with Elena as the main focus, and this time she is pregnant. This is a great rendition of Jack the Ripper. Again Kelly Armstrong makes an amazing addition to her Women of the Otherworld. This builds on the other books and has its own twist and turns. It shows a new side to the werewolves, it just makes me love them so much more. I don’t think that you do wrong by reading any of these books. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series, No Humans Involved.

Haunted by Kelley Armstrong

Genre: Urban Fantasy; Ghosts, Witches, Demons, Angels, Werewolves, Vampires, Magic, Women of the Otherworld
Sub Genre: Paranormal Romance
Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars

Back Cover: Eve Levine — half-demon, black witch and devoted mother — has been dead for three years. She has a great house, an interesting love life and can’t be killed again — which comes in handy when you’ve made as many enemies as Eve. Yes, the afterlife isn’t too bad —— all she needs to do is find a way to communicate with her daughter, Savannah, and she’ll be happy. But fate — or more exactly, the Fates — have other plans. Eve owes them a favor, and they’ve just called it in. An evil spirit called the Nix has escaped from hell. She feeds on chaos and death, and is very good at persuading people to kill for her. The Fates want Eve to hunt her down before she does any more damage, but the Nix is a dangerous enemy — previous hunters have been driven insane in the process. As if that’s not problem enough, the only way to stop her is with an angel’s sword. And Eve is no angel. . . .

This is the fifth book of the Women of the Otherworld series. We finally get to meet Savannah’s mother, Eve. The bonus is we get to see the afterlife from her perspective as well. That there is a lot more going on even after you die. Eve is one of those spitfire characters that you aren’t sure if she’s a good guy or a bad guy. She is very entertaining to say the least. The outcome of this story makes you have a double take, but it just makes the story that much more enjoyable. I found this book to be a great story and hope to see more of Eve in the future. I love how the this just adds to the series and can’t wait to read the next book in this series, Broken.

Dime Store Magic by Kelly Armstrong

Genre: Urban Fiction; Magic, Werewolves, Vampires, Witches, Shamans, Demons
Sub Genre: Paranormal Romance
Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars

Back Cover: Paige Winterbourne was always either too young or too rebellious to succeed her mother as leader of one of the world’s most powerful elite organizations – the American Coven of Witches. Now that she is twenty-three and her mother is dead, the Elders can no longer deny her. But even Paige’s wildest antics can’t hold a candle to those of her new charge – an orphan who is all too willing to use her budding powers for evil… and evil is all too willing to claim her. For this girl is being pursued by a dark faction of the supernatural underworld. They are a vicious group who will do anything to woo the young, malleable, and extremely powerful neophyte, including commit murder – and frame Paige for the crime. It’s an initiation into adulthood, womanhood, and the brutal side of magic that Paige will have to go everything within her power to make sure they both survive.

This is the third book in the Women of the Otherworld. We first met Paige in Stolen when she loses her mother. She has to realized that she has what it takes to take care of herself and Savannah. But when she is accused of murder it’s going to take someone she’s not sure she can trust. Lucas Cortez. This story is hot, as is Lucas. This story goes into the witches of this and shows a more in depth side to Paige. I love it. Reading how Paige goes and works with Lucas, even falling for him. This is brilliant writing, I can't wait to read the next book in this series, Industrial Magic.

Stolen by Kelley Armstrong

Genre: Urban Fantasy; Werewolves, Vampires, Witches, Shamans, Demons, Magic, Women of the Otherworld
Sub Genre: Paranormal Romance
Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars

Back Cover: In Bitten, thirty-year-old Elena Michaels came to terms with her feral appetites and claimed the proud identity of a beautiful, successful woman – and the only living female werewolf. In Stolen, on a mission for her own elite pack, she is lured into the net of ruthless Internet billionaire Tyrone Winsloe, who has funded a bogus scientific investigation of the “other races” and their supernatural powers. Kidnapped and studied in his underground lab deep in the Main woods, these paranormals – witches, vampires, shamans, werewolves – are then released and hunted to the death in a real world video game. But when Winsloe captures Elena, he finally meets his match.

This is the second story in the Women of the Otherworld and starts to show the other paranormals. This time Elena has becomes close to some of the other paranormals. At the begin of the story the wolves are all about their pack and not wanting to work with the others. But Elena has to so that she can survive. I love the whole story. It shows a new side of Elena one that endears her way in the heart of Savannah. And meeting all the other characters are so well created. I loved reading this. Kelley Armstrong is a brilliant writer that brings to life a vivid world that you just can’t get enough of I will always read anything by her. I can't wait to read the next book, Dime Store Magic.
