This is another great retelling of Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Lisa Klein wrote this before she did Lady Macbeth’s Daughter, which I loved. This book is Ophelia’s story. Telling of how she came to court and then to love the Prince Hamlet. I love the twist on this showing Ophelia as the tom boy girl who was made into a Queen’s Lady. I found the story to be engaging in all the right ways. It is one of those books that you will love. And anyone who likes Shakespeare will enjoy this new take on this great play.

This is a brilliant story of Macbeth but told in a new light. Taking Shakespeare’s play and adding in a daughter. I don’t feel that I need to explain any of the story. Albia is a strong female heroine. She learns so much about herself and what she is capable of. Love even comes to her and Fleance. I found it to be a very well written story, one that I will read over again. I loved it very much.
